La notizia hot del giorno riguarda il solito Carmelo Anthony,vero protagonista a sorpresa di questo Settembre oramai arrivato alla fine. Chris Paul ha cercato,durante un’intervista,di mandare un messaggio al suo amico Melo. Tra le righe ha cercato di far capire a quest’ultimo che se davvero vuole giocare con il play da Wake Forest dovrà prendere un charter direzione New Orleans,unico team che attualmente può garantire l’accoppiata.
Certo,sarebbe bello vederli calcare per quarantuno partite all’anno il perfetto legno intrecciato del Madison Square Garden,ma New York pare essersi ultimamente allontanata dalla trade. Perchè pare? Chiarissimi invece gli intenti dei Toronto Raptors,squadra nella mani di Andrea Bargnani e deldestino futuro. Proprio in occasione delle prossime stagioni infatti,la franchigia canadese ha annunciato in serata di aver esercitato l’opzione sul terzo anno di contratto per il “rookie” DeMar DeRozan. Il giorcatore ex Trojans ha infatti dimostrato ottime cose nella stagione passata e per assicurare al suo conto in banca introiti ben maggiori degli attuali, continuerà a splendere vistosamente su tutto l’Ontario.
Un altro giocatore che si è guadagnato un’estensione contrattuale per la prossima stagione (2.6 MLN $) è Roy Hibbert,degli Indiana Pacers. Il suo compagno Brandon Rush invece,sta cercando attraverso il camp estivo e la pre-season di convincere la dirigenza di Indianapolis ad investire quasi tre milioni di dollari in una estensione per la stagione 2011/2012.
Chiudiamo con una notizia meno bella per (quasi) tutti gli appassionati NBA,che non potranno non conoscere la “torre della lega”, Yao Ming. Il gigante cinese si è procurato infatti un altro infortunio durante gli allenamenti con la squadra. Si tratta del ginocchio destro,che farà il paio con quello sinistro operato da pochissimo. Yao si dice ottimista affermando: “Non è grave,tornerò già domani camminando sui miei piedi”. Frase sentita già troppe volte Yao,già troppe… E se i Lakers hanno due anelli in più in cassaforte,in parte,è anche grazie ai tuoi infortuni.
